Two evenings to talk, listen and meet
A polyglot evening is a simple meeting to practice languages with real people, without formal lessons or exams. You arrive, we help you find your way, you wear a badge with your first name and the languages you speak or wish to practice, then you join a conversation table. You can come alone, speak little at first, listen, ask simple questions or change groups whenever you want. Beginners are welcome: the objective is to create a relaxed environment where everyone dares to speak a little more than yesterday.

A major international weekend meeting, ideal for speaking several languages, coming with friends or meeting people alone.

How is it going?
When you arrive, a hostess or someone from the team welcomes you and gives you an individual badge with your first name and the languages you speak or wish to practice. You then join the other participants and sit down at a table. The objective is not a formal course: these are real, natural and caring conversations, with the right to hesitate, to ask for a word and to change language.
The usual meeting place is at Baratin, 41 boulevard Saint-Marcel, 75013 Paris. Always check the official page before coming, as a location may change.
Meetings take place on Tuesday and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Visit the PolyglotClub event page only to check today's exceptional changes.
You can come even if you are a beginner. Language badges and conversation tables help you quickly find who to talk to.
The area is accessible from Gare d'Austerlitz, Saint-Marcel or Place d'Italie depending on your route. Plan to check the route the same day.

Can we come alone?
Yes. Many participants come alone. The welcome, language badges and conversation tables are just there to help you get started.
Do you have to be bilingual?
No. Dating is for practice, not to impress. You can listen, ask simple questions and progress at your own pace.
Is it free?
Admission to the conversations is free. In partner bars, everyone simply pays their drinks according to the rules of the place.

Understanding Polyglot Paris
Polyglotte Paris is neither a classic course nor a simple online discussion group. The idea is to find a natural situation: people of different nationalities, varied levels, short or long conversations, and the possibility of changing languages during the evening.
